You control the template and how you wish to lay out the data in the final output, and Generate Docs handles the rest of it - doing in minutes what would otherwise take hours.

Generate Docs (GD) takes the data source provided in a Google Sheets document and a template Google Docs document. It will analyze the template and determine the presence of grouped data based on how the template uses tables internally. Following this it will go through the data source row by row, generating the outputs.
In simple terms, the template uses {{Column Header}} to identify the data that should be placed there.

This Google Workspace Add-On came about as my wife needed to generate
a number of contracts for presenters at a conference. The old system they had
didn't work reliably and was very convoluted and rigid. Seeing her frustration
I decided to spend a little time to write a contract generator for her that would be
much more intuitive and more streamlined for her to use.
Generate Docs is the result of that effort.
